Natalie: mother-to-be

Not long after I started training with Belinda, I discovered I was pregnant.  As an expecting mother, there is so much to research and learn about in preparation for both pregnancy and motherhood.  Thanks to Belinda, exercise was one important aspect of pregnancy that I didn't need to think about. Belinda did all the research for me and created a program that evolved with each stage of my pregnancy. I felt 100% confident and comfortable with the program, which enabled me to continue training right up to 38 weeks gestation. I would highly recommend any expectant mothers to commence or continue training through their pregnancy, and particularly with Belinda. As they say, a fit and healthy mother equals a fit and healthy baby!

Tania: likes the honesty

I enjoy training with Belinda because she is honest, she walks the walk and she doesn’t blow smoke up my arse. I want to be trained by someone who looks the part and looks like they have experienced what I want to achieve.

Kim: 30-something looking for change

Kim approached me about an eating plan to help her shed around five kilos.  She exercises regularly (mainly cardio) and felt that she was eating healthy but couldn't understand why she wasn't losing any weight.

Thought I'd update you on how I've been fairing with my new eating plan.  It has been excellent - thanks!  I've made a few slight variations here and there.  The rice cakes are yummy with the cottage cheese and definitely fill me up.  Have been doing steak/fish/chicken with steamed vegetables at night - no more pasta or rice.  I only started last Monday, but my weight is already down 0.8kg which is a good start.

John: 57yo, new to weight training

Being a late starter to the world of gym equipment I needed to seek professional advice not only in establishing an exercise programme but also seeking basic knowledge of how to utilise the gym equipment to achieve my goals. Belinda was extremely helpful, providing a professional service in a way that was encouraging and enabling for me. The programme she provided was thorough, varied and clearly explained. She stepped me through the programme with practical advice at every step.  She took the time and interest to follow up on my progress and I really appreciated that. I am both confident and committed to the programme that Belinda designed to meet my needs and am already feeling the benefit.

I would highly recommend her to others and in fact have already done so.

What I'm really happy about is the exercise bike - where initially I found it hard to push at a low level, I am now keeping a good rate at the harder level and even increasing speed in bursts.  Above all else, I see the benefits when I'm cutting hedges, painting or doing other household chores - it is less effort and recovery time is much quicker. So its been really good. Just having more energy is brilliant. I'm happy to keep going with the programme you set me as it is achieving the results that I wanted. Thanks again for setting me on the path to good results.

Craig: 53yo, CEO keeping fit

Belinda from Intensity Personal Training has been conducting group training sessions for staff of the Outdoor Furniture Specialists since November 2009 as well as providing me with personal training.  The enthusiasm shown by my staff for these sessions comes directly from the professional approach Belinda applies to each session.  Belinda provides a mix of cardio activities with resistance training, and plenty of education and advice along the way.  The professionalism shown by Belinda in all aspects of the training and the back up education is fantastic, and I would highly recommend any employer to investigate ways to implement some sort of fitness training/education in the workplace.  I am happy to talk to anyone who is interested in discuss the Outdoor Furniture Specialists fitness program.

Kate: preparing for functional fitness testing

I trained with Belinda for a year to prepare for the Customs dog handling fitness test.  She trained me at one on one strength and cardio sessions at the gym and at outdoor ‘boot camp’. Belinda’s sessions were the hardest PT sessions I have ever had but by far the most rewarding.  Best of all was that she got really involved in the sessions (instead of just giving orders like other PTs I’d been to) and each session was different which kept it fun – we never knew what to expect!  Her encouragement and advice throughout kept me motivated and in the end I passed the fitness test and am now the fittest I have ever been.  I credit this largely to the training I received from Belinda.

Matt: loves the group PT sessions

As a member of the Outdoor Furniture Specialists, I have been lucky enough to be provided with two group personal training sessions per week for the last four years. During this time our group of eight has been trained by a number of personal trainers, most of which have made it to the top of the fitness industry.  Trainers such as Gary Belcher (former Brisbane Broncos), Jeremy Hickmans (St George Dragons) and Chris Haseman (currently with Brisbane Broncos, and Ultimate Fighting Champion) have taught us a great deal and motivated us towards the goals we want to achieve. Belinda took over our training a few months back and the group is extremely happy with the results she is helping us achieve. Speaking on behalf of the group, we have no problem in assuring any of Belinda’s potential clients that she can meet the high standards set by our previous trainers.  The sessions she takes are challenging, fun and specifically tailored to everyone’s goals. This is not an easy task when half the group are looking to add muscle and the other half want to burn fat! Belinda has an extensive knowledge of all forms of training and dietary advice and also has a great website that we can turn to for further information and motivation. She most certainly practices what she preaches – illustrated by her success in competition at the 2009 INBA Queensland State Titles and her appearance in publications such as Oxygen magazine. You don’t need to think about it – book her in!

Karen: mum and regular gym user

I was fortunate enough to win Intensity Personal Training’s “Make 2010 your fittest, healthiest year ever” competition on facebook.  And what a way to start 2010 – 8 PT sessions with Belinda!!  It was such a fantastic experience training with a true professional in such an elite studio.  I have been a member of a women’s gym for quite a few years, but found the challenge and change a wonderful experience.  Since the first session with Intensity Personal Training, I saw such an improvement in both strength and fitness.   Belinda is personable, knowledgeable, professional and fun.  This gives you the motivation to do your best at every session.  Thank you Belinda for such a wonderful opportunity.

Bootcamp participants

BRETT
Before we started Belinda’s bootcamp, I never imagined how much fun it could be or how fit I would become.  It was addictive and something I recommend to everyone.  Best of all it was great to get together with friends I work with, all with a common goal… to get fit while having fun.  I think a lot of it also had to do with the fun style in which Belinda delivered the sessions.  I loved it.

ANDREW
Belinda’s sessions were both demanding and fun. She managed to get all group members, no matter what level of fitness they had, to put in maximum effort without having to be pushy.  The fun atmosphere provided for a great sense of camaraderie and healthy competition.  I wish I could still be doing the sessions – I miss them.

I would highly recommend Belinda to anyone who is serious about becoming a fitter and healthier person.
